The young and primary 2020 Zestos Garnacha Old Vines has grapey aromas, notes of very ripe and slightly jammy Garnacha and a juicy and dense palate with ripe flavors and round tannins.

I also tasted an unbottled sample of the 2019 Zestos Garnacha Old Vines that was ready for bottling in a couple of weeks. It shows a warmer vintage, with more ripeness and color; it's a more concentrated and powerful wine that is juicy and delicious, perhaps less aromatic than the 2018. They expect to produce around 50,000 bottles of this.

CVA's 2018 Zestos Garnacha Old Vines is Garnacha from the village of San Martín de Valdeiglesias, from vines planted between 1950 and 1970 on granite soils at 574 meters in altitude. It's produced in a fresh way and bottled unoaked, showing the juicy potential of the grape in a fresh vintage like 2018. It has simple berry flavors and a polished texture.

Made from 100% Grenache grown on vines planted between 1950 and 1960, the 2012 Old Vine Garnacha is crisp, elegant and pleasant. Offering strawberry and cherry fruit flavors, medium body and soft tannin, it can be drunk over the next year.
