The 2010 Gewurztraminer Vision was sourced from the El Marco Estate. It was fermented and aged for 5 months in stainless steel. Notions of lychee, pit fruits, and baking spices set the stage for a wine with excellent varietal character but which finishes with a touch of bitterness. Drink this very good value over the next 2-3 years. Cono Sur Vineyards and Winery has established a reputation for combining value and quality and has been a leader in the development of Pinot Noir in Chile. The Bicycle Series is their entry level, line priced at $10. The next step up the ladder is the Vision series which are single vineyard wines line priced at $15. The top tier is the Limited Edition 20 Barrel Series which are somewhat pricier. A highly aromatic wine. Lychee is the prime scent along with white flowers, and the palate is oily but right, with lychee, ginger, spice and orange flavors. Plump but short on the finish, but clean as a whole. Very nice for Chilean Gewurz.——W.E.(2/1/2011)—— 87

Frosted aromas of orange creamsicle, lychee and melon give this an elevated, unique sort of bouquet. Among Chilean Gewurztraminers, this is one of the more expressive ones you’ll find.
