The versatile and accessible 2015 Cannonau di Sardegna Riserva 'Inu is a warm companion to a straightforward Sardinian roasted lamb and artichoke dinner, simply seasoned with garlic, salt, olive oil and parsley. The wine is softly textured and rich, with abundant tones of black fruit, wild cherry and black currant. The quality of fruit is sweet, supple and driven by that bright island sunshine. The wine spends 12 months in oak and comes out on the other end with a 14.5% alcohol content that is evident, especially in this warm vintage. Some 9,000 bottles were made.
