With the word "Canelli" in quotes on the front label, the Coppo 2021 Moscato d'Asti Moncalvina is citrusy and mineral-driven with pear, orchard fruit and white peach. The alcohol content is an easy 5%. What I like most about this wine is that uniquely "musky" character with beeswax and dried sage that give the Moscato grape its name. This wine does a great job of bringing that to the forefront. This is a large production of 70,000 bottles.

The Coppo 2019 Moscato d'Asti Moncalvina offers a generous bouquet with white jasmine, honeysuckle, green apple, sweet tropical fruit and crushed stone. You also get that characteristic musky smell of soap or dried rose potpourri that is so unique to Moscato d'Asti. It shows nice crispness on the close. That pinch of acidity does a good job of cutting through the wine's intoxicating and perfumed sweetness.
