The flagship 2005 Familia is made up of 91% Cabernet Sauvignon with the balance Carmenere and Malbec that was aged for 24 months in new French oak. Purple in color, it displays an already complex perfume of sandalwood, earth notes, spice box, violets, olives, blackcurrant, and blackberry. Medium- to full-bodied on the palate, it is a rich, chewy, plush offering with lingering flavors and a seamless finish. Give it another 2-3 years of bottle age and drink it from 2012 to 2020.
