The 2014 Vermentino di Gallura Superiore Cucaione is a little slow to start and appears slightly closed on first nose. The wine needs a few moments to open. Once it does, it shows pretty bursts of fragrant intensity with pear, white melon, crushed granite and wild sage. In the mouth, it delivers a soft and silky approach with a good dose of fresh acidity on the close. This white wine should be consumed within the next 18 months.
