Deep purple-black colored, the 2020 La Bastienne comes skipping out of the glass with cheery notes of crushed black cherries, redcurrants and fresh, juicy blackberries, followed by hints of dusty soil, garrigue and lavender. The medium to full-bodied palate is chock-full of expressive black and red berry flavors, supported by firm, grainy tannins and plenty of freshness, finishing long with an herbal lift.

Sporting a deep garnet-purple color, the 2019 La Bastienne has a fragrant nose of Morello cherries, black raspberries and wild thyme with suggestions of lavender, cardamom, forest floor and woodsmoke. The medium to full-bodied palate has a solid foundation of firm, grainy tannins and seamless freshness supporting the taut black fruits, finishing perfumed.

The 2016 La Bastienne is medium to deep garnet-purple colored and features fragrant roses, oolong tea and baking spices scents with touches of warm plums, black cherries and raspberry pie. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is packed with expressive red berry and floral layers with a fine-grained frame and long, lively finish.

Medium garnet-purple in color, the 2015 La Bastienne opens with a tilled soil, dried herbs and menthol nose with a core of red currants, plums and raspberry leaves. Medium-bodied and just a little lean in the mid-palate, it has a chewy backbone and herbal lift to the finish.
