The 2010 O’Riada Shiraz, which includes 5% Viognier in the blend, yields a medium garnet-purple color and is intensely scented of warm red currants, black currants and black cherries with hints of Mediterranean herbs, freshly cracked black pepper and moss covered tree bark. Medium-bodied, it has a medium to firm level of finely grained tannins and crisp acidity supporting the pretty, bramble fruit flavors, finishing long with a slight dried herb lift. Delicious now, it should benefit from another 3-5 years in bottle and drink to 2019+. Importer: John Larchet, The Australian Premium Wine Collection; www.tapwc.com.au
