This release of 2,000 bottles seems to be getting a bit too old and even oxidized, with leather and old spice, faded fruit, prune and fig. There's a good amount of fruit tannin stuffed in between dry oak tannins in the 2014 Montefalco Sagrantino. Mostly, the takeaway here is the syrupy concentration, prominent oak spice and lots of power in this 15.5% alcohol red.
