The white 2014 Amic contains 51% Garnacha Blanca, 41% Macabeo, 3% Viognier, 3% Roussane and 2% Marssanne. It fermented in stainless steel, save for the French varieties that fermented in barrel. It's a young and lively white with plenty of fennel and aniseed aromas mixed with white fruit and a fresh palate with moderate intensity and acidity. 19,000 bottles.

The entry-level red is the 2012 Amic, a multi-grape blend of 28% Garnacha, 27% Merlot, 23% Cabernet Sauvignon and 22% Syrah fermented in stainless steel with selected yeasts and matured in barrel for six months. It has an herbal and creamy nose but at the same denoting ripeness. The palate shows good balance, fine tannins and more acidity that I anticipated because of the nose giving it a fresher than expected finish. 22,000 bottles produced.

The 2011 Amic, a blend of 60% Garnacha, 21% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot and 4% Syrah, was aged for six months in mostly used French oak barrels. It displays a bright violet color and a serious nose of ripe black and blue fruits, beeswax and sweet spices, quite Mediterranean. The palate is medium-bodied, with ripe fruit flavors, plums and raisins, with some warmth toward the end. A good Mediterranean red. Drink now-2016.
