Notes of sweet berries and cherries introduce the 2021 Francs Magnus, a medium-bodied, ample and charming wine that's pure and pretty, with a bright, fruit-driven profile and a clean finish. It's produced in the Fronsac sector in vineyards not entitled to the appellation and is partially matured in tank.

The 2019 Francs Magnus displays a medium to deep garnet-purple color and bright, cheery notes of baked raspberries, warm black cherries and chocolate box plus wafts of menthol and aniseed. Medium-bodied, the palate has a good core of ripe, juicy black and red fruits, framed by slightly chewy tannins and plenty of freshness, finishing on a minty note.

Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2018 Francs Magnus reveals notes of raisin cake, baked plums and chocolate box with hints of fallen leaves and menthol. The palate is full-bodied with loads of berry preserves and baking spice flavors and a chewy texture, finishing peppery.

Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2017 Francs Magnus is scented of warm plums and cherry preserves with notions of spice box and forest floor. The palate is medium-bodied with a good core of vibrant fruit and a chewy frame, finishing with a refreshing lift.

The medium garnet-purple colored 2015 Francs Magnus is scented of bright red fruits with florals and dried leaves hints. Medium-bodied, it's chewy and a little lean but with nice freshness and expression.
