From deep loess soils and fermented in 500-liter barrels, Allendorf's 2015 Winkeler Hasensprung VDP Grosse Lage Riesling Trocken GG has a clear, fresh and fruit-driven nose with lovely lemon and refreshingly earthy aromas. Creamy textured and round, with remarkable finesse and a fine tannin structure, this is a full-bodied and persistent, dry Riesling from the foothill of Schloss Johannisberg.

A clear and spicy, slightly oaky and minerally-scented, fruit bouquet opens to the 2014 Winkeler Hasensprung Riesling GG. Full-bodied, quite sweet and elegant on the palate, this densely woven and powerful wine is still very young and restrained through its tannins, but shall benefit from further bottle aging.
