The wine is viscous and rich with lovely fruit weight that wraps opulently over the palate. The acidity and those bright fruit flavors keep the wine from feeling too heavy. Winemaking sees a brief three hours of skin maceration and barrique aging for 11 months. The alcohol content on this wine is a contained 11.5%. Only 2,500 bottles were made.

The mouthfeel is extra rich and creamy, with an opulent honey-like texture. This is a gorgeous wine (made in limited numbers with just 2,500 small bottles produced) that offers precision and sharpness on the one hand and crazy luxuriousness on the other.

The 2017 Alto Adige Gewürztraminer Passito Juvelo (produced in a 375-milliliter bottle) is a very special wine that wraps over the palate like silk sheets. The bouquet is enormously fragrant and rich with honey, brown sugar, candied orange peel and sweet almond paste. The wine is thick and extra creamy in texture, especially in this warm vintage that resulted in more concentrated fruit. The grapes undergo three hours of so-called mash time before gentle pressing. The wine is fermented in oak and aged in barrel for 11 months. The alcohol content is a low 10.5%. A precious few 2,500 bottles were produced.
