The 2004 Crianza, a blend of 40% Tempranillo, 40% Merlot, and 20 % Cabernet Sauvignon, was aged for 12 months in barrel. It is an easy-going, forward, fruity wine with aromas of cedar, mineral, tobacco, black currant, and black cherry. The 2002 Egiarte Crianza reveals spicy wood from its time in barrel along with a deep plum/ruby color, cedar, herb, and red currant characteristics, good sweetness, and early accessibility.
