Produced with an improbable blend of Petit Verdot, Tempranillo, Romé and Cabernet Franc, the 2011 Ariyanas Tinto de Ensamblaje fermented in stainless steel with indigenous yeasts, with the French varieties maturing in wood until bottling in June 2012. The nose is very creamy, with notes of fruits of the forest yogurt intermixed with herbal undertones and cereal/biscuity aromas thrown in. The palate is not that intense, with distant flavors reminiscent of what you find in the nose that are a little thin and hollow in the mid-palate, but really polished, with some creaminess and undetectable tannins. 6,500 bottles.
