It is lamentable that so many Americans are unwilling to experience the pleasures of the simple, zesty, refreshing, lime-like flavors and fresh bouquet of a top-notch Muscadet. These are wines that beg for a plate of shellfish, yet then can also be drunk alone. Not many wines work well without food, but Muscadet does. Bregeon is one of the appellations top producers, and this light-bodied, easy to sip, super-crisp, fruity Muscadet makes me salivate for some good oysters. Drink it over the next year.
