I tasted the 2014 Ladredo, which showed great clarity, clean and subtle. It's a bright ruby-colored red with an expressive nose of flowers and earth. The palate showed a bit young, with some fine-grained tannins. This fermented with full clusters in open oak vats with a long maceration and was kept in used 225-liter oak barrels for some 14 to 16 months. There are notes of violets and peach, with something musky and spicy, with elegant rusticity. The palate is juicy and very tasty with a dry finish. It has 1% less alcohol than the 2013; it was harvested earlier, and it shows. This should develop nicely in bottle. 1,200 bottles produced.
