This wine lacked fruit, and tasted stripped, as if it had been excessively fined and/or filtered. Perhaps I saw a bad bottle, or caught the wine in a very odd stage of development, but my conclusions are that the wine is light, simple, overly processed, and lacking depth and concentration.

In 1987 this estate produced an excellent Corton Les Renardes. It shows real depth, structure, and intensity. It is capable of lasting until 1994-1996.
