I tasted one blend of Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon only produced in exceptional years (which I hadn't encountered before) being the 2011 LaA. It was cropped from their vines at their Finca Bolandín. There are smoky and herbal notes, combining characteristics from both grapes and an overall creamy feeling, generously oaked and sleek, with polished, plush tannins. These are nicely crafted wines of international style, sleek and polished, but I find it hard to get excited about them.
