A 50/50 blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, the 2012 Abadal Crianza matured in French and American oak barrels for ten months. There are notes of wild berries and a touch of honey/pollen with some balsamic and spicy notes from the élevage, and feels somehow developed. The palate shows more the effect of the oak, with dusty, slightly drying tannins. It needs food. 70,000 bottles.

The 2010 Crianca is a 50/50 blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot with a clear herbaceous character, but keeping the Mediterranean profile in the shape of rosemary and thyme notes. The fruit is ripe, a mixture of red and black berries and the palate is medium-bodied with dusty tannins that coat the mouth and call for some food. Drink now-2015.
