The Sartori 2018 Valpolicella Ripasso Superiore Regolo is a nicely balanced expression that doesn't take too many risks in terms of ripeness or intensity. Indeed, this is a common trait across many of the wines from this cooler vintage that tend to be more subdued in character and thinner in structure. This wine wears these attributes well with a good dose of sweet or air-dried fruit such as blackcurrant and prune. The blend is 55% Corvina, 25% Corvinone, 15% Rondinella and 5% Croatina. Production is 70,000 bottles.
