The 2007 Fiano di Avellino Colle dei Cerri shows thickness and glycerin in the glass with off-gold color saturation. The bouquet shows cantaloupe melon, candied fruit, zesty orange peel and tropical fruit. The wine is creamy and richly textured, yet the fruit at the wine's core is vibrant and teeming with spirit. I'm not completely confident that the wine will last for as long as I have indicated in my estimated drinking window, but I'm going to give it the benefit of the doubt. Only 5,000 bottles were made.
