The 2015 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru La Romanée has a taut, quite austere, Puligny-like bouquet with moderate intensity. The palate is supple and lightly honeyed on the entry, the acidity well judged with touches of orange peel and brown spices towards the easygoing finish. This should drink nicely straight after bottling, but will give pleasure over several years.
