The 2014 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru, from the Aloxe side in Le Charlemagne, has a rich, slightly honeyed bouquet with touches of white chocolate and honeysuckle. The palate is rounded on the entry, quite rich and honeyed, powerful in the mouth with slightly lower acidity than its peers on the finish that needs more length. Not a bad wine, but it is one of several Corton-Charlemagne that did not quite deliver the goods this year.
