The 2016 Puligny-Montrachet Village comes from two parcels but was reduced from 20 to six barrels due to frost. It has a fresh green apple and grass clipping-scented bouquet, much more expressive than the Vougeot Clos de Prieuré. The palate is well balanced with great volume and intensity, hints of blackcurrant leaf enhancing the finish that feels long and tender. This is a commendable village cru from Vougeraie.

The 2015 Puligny-Montrachet Villages, which comes from two lieu-dits, has an almost Meursault-like, slightly nutty, fumé bouquet. The palate is balanced with tropical notes on the entry, hints of mango and pineapple tinged with guava, leading to a rounded, generous finish that suggest it will be best consumed in its flush of youth.

The maiden 2014 Puligny-Montrachet Villages, acquired from Vincent Girardin a couple of years ago, has a reserved, stony, rather austere bouquet that is nicely focused. The palate is fresh on the entry with good weight in the mouth, light citrus and peachy notes leading to a harmonious and graceful finish. Very fine.
