Aromas of tangerine oil, crisp orchard fruit, peach and pastry introduce the 2021 Chablis, a medium-bodied, fleshy wine with a satiny attack, bright acids and a saline finish. It's a charming, pretty wine from Domaine des Malandes.

The 2020 Chablis wafts from the glass with scents of peach, white flowers, crisp orchard fruit and pastry. Medium to full-bodied, bright and incisive, with a fleshy core of fruit and a nicely defined finish, it's testament to the progress being made at this address.

This round white verges on creamy in texture, yet with adequate acidity for balance. Green plum and apple flavors are joined by a hint of fresh thyme. Moderate length. Drink now. 100 cases imported.??–BS??Region: France / Burgundy / Chablis Select to Add

The 2012 Chablis comes from Malandes’ 16 hectares of vines and sees no wood contact. It has a rather taciturn nose with light tertiary aromas: a little broody and introspective at the moment. The palate is better with lemon zest and orange peel on the entry, a keen line of acidity, although the finish feels just a little shorter than I would have liked. Drink now. Lyne Marchive founded Domaine des Malandes back in 1972, courtesy of vineyards from her father Andre Tremblay. Since 2006, oenologist Guenole Breteaudeau has been in charge of the winemaking. This was a consistent set of wines, many of which I would gladly receive on my table.
