A superb value, the 2001 Cotes de Provence Cuvee St.-Michel has a spicy, grapy, plummy nose. An extroverted, fruit-forward, lush effort, it coats the palate with loads of plump, sensual layers of black cherries, blackberries, and plums. While it is not a thought provoking, complex wine, it delivers hedonistic pleasure. This sexy offering would make a magnificent accompaniment to an herb-covered grilled steak... Drink it over the next 3 years.Importer: A David Schildknecht Selection, Vintner Select, Cincinnati, OH; tel.
