The 2016 Givry Clos Des Vignes Rondes exhibits pretty notes of fresh apples and white flowers, followed by a medium-bodied, textural palate underpinned by nice cut and concluding with stony grip. Lumpp explains that the vines grow in heavy clay but that this lieu-dit is located at comparatively high altitude, which accounts for its marriage of gloss and tension.
