This wine is made from 90% Campbell (Vitis labrusca) and 10% Buffalo grapes. Vibrant, medium intense ruby colour. Intense, lifted aromas of raspberry, crushed strawberries and banana peel are suggestive of carbonic maceration. There is also a distinctive waft of that foxy / epoxy character from use of an American species of grape. The palate gives crisp acidity and soft silky tannins. Medium finish. Not bad. Drink now. Tasted February 2009.
