The 2020 Corton Grand Cru Clos Rognet is rich and dramatic this year, bursting with aromas of cherries, plums, wild berries, peonies and toasty new oak. Full-bodied, ample and enveloping, with a ripe core of fruit and chewy structuring tannins, it's more marked by the extremes of the vintage than the Corton Perrières.

Evoking plum and blackberry, this dark red shows somber earth notes as well. Rich, with smoke, licorice and spice tones on the lingering finish. The tannins are buried in the rich texture, and this stays fresh. Best from 2015 through 2035. 4 cases imported. –BS
