The orange-scented, truffled, honey-laden 2018 Saint Joseph Blanc has that "it" factor. Full-bodied, rich and silky, it's harmonious and exotic, with ample concentration and length. It should provide delicious drinking over the next few years, perhaps longer.

Made from 100% Roussanne all from the northern part of the appellation, near the village of Chavanay and Malleval, the 2015 Saint Joseph Blanc is another spicy, mineral-driven, slightly honeyed white from this team that has good acidity, medium-bodied richness and solid balance.

The 2012 Saint Joseph is a unique blend of 100% Roussanne that spent 8-10 months in mostly neutral barrel. Nicely done, with a medium-bodied, clean and classic feel, it offers notions of sauteed apples, white peach, honeysuckle and brioche. Lively, fresh and with good acidity, it should drink nicely for 2-4 years. This was a large lineup by producer Pierre Gaillard.
