A lot less oaky than in previous vintages, the 2015 Clos Galena is a blend of 40% Garnacha with 20% each Cabernet Sauvignon, Cari?ena and Syrah matured in French and American oak barrels for 12 months. It's still spicy and smoky, but the fruit is quite visible. It is mediterranean, with good ripeness and suggestive aromas. The palate is medium-bodied, with abundant, fine-grained tannins and good balance. 5,000 bottles were filled in August 2017.

This red shows density and focus. Plum, licorice, espresso and mineral flavors lend a savory cast, but fresh acidity keeps this lively despite the muscular tannins, which give way to a floral finish.
