Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2011 Earthworks Shiraz displays a nose redolent of wild blueberries, black cherries and crushed blackberries with touches of cloves, black licorice and mocha. Medium-bodied, it gives mouth-filling blackberry and baking spice flavors supported by balanced acid, medium levels of rounded tannins and a long finish with some pepper coming through on the end.
