The 2007 Syrah includes 6% Mourvedre and 2% Viognier in the blend. It appears the aim was to produce a northern Rhone-styled wine (such as Cote Rotie) in Napa. A dark garnet/plum color is followed by a fragrant, peppery nose of exotic fruits, spice box, lavender, and sweet currants and cherries.
