The Enzo Boglietti 2017 Barbera d'Alba Vigna dei Romani is made with fruit from old vines in the Fossati cru of La Morra. The wine reveals a dark, sultry and velvety personality with ripe plum and black cherry. The bouquet is also redolent of scorched earth and savory tobacco. The Barbera grape always ends with a blast of fresh acidity, and you get that here too. Vigna dei Romani is fermented in steel and aged in oak. Production is a mere 2,366 bottles.
