Pale garnet-purple in color, the 2011 Bistro Grenache has a profoundly peppery nose over a core of black raspberries, kirsch and warm red currants. Full-bodied and voluptuously fruited in the mouth, it packs in the peppered red fruit flavors with a good backbone of acid to balance and a low level of velvety tannins, finishing with very satisfying persistence. Drink this one now to 2017+.Imported by Epicurean Wines, Seattle, WA; tel. (206) 923-1376
