With fruit from La Morra, the Eraldo Viberti 2017 Barolo Roncaglie shows dark cherry, baked fruit, spice and tarry smoke. The wine unfolds with simple and easy intensity that is quite approachable now, even in these younger years of the wine's existence. The finish is smooth and not particularly complex or deep and perfectly suitable for a pappardelle and ragù.

The 2011 Barolo Roncaglie gives us lots of ripe fruit with sweet tones and sweet cherry. It is a nicely balanced wine.
