The 2005 Verdicchio Riserva Vigna delle Oche is a full-bodied, unctuous wine loaded with sensations of honey, earthiness, sweet spices, acacia and succulent yellow peaches, Made in a richly-textured, expansive style, the Riserva Vigne delle Oche is capable of pairing beautifully with a wide range of foods and can stand up to all but the heartiest of fare. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2015. Fattoria di San Lorenzo makes a number of delicious wines, but those that are the most compelling are the Verdicchios, which run the gamut from simpler styles to the late-release Il San Lorenzo. The estate’s 2003 Verdicchio Riserva Vigna delle Oche offers notable complexity in its mint, sage, eucalyptus, honey and acacia.
