This is a very rare and precious dessert wine made from air-dried grapes and packaged in a 375-milliliter bottle. The 2014 Albana di Romagna Passito Riserva AR (with just 8% alcohol) shows a delicate and elegant personality with fine aromas of dried fruit, apricot, underbrush and a touch of button mushroom. This wine is only made in select years when Botrytis cinerea develops, thus naturally concentrating the flavors and intensity of the wine. There is a touch of magic here, born out of a challenging vintage. The initials AR stand for Albana Riserva. Only 900 bottles were released. This wine was made in 1996, 1999, 2001, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2010, 2014 and the yet-unreleased 2018 vintages.
