Ripe and rich without being overdone, Ferraton's 2019 Hermitage Les Miaux Blanc is medium to full-bodied and fleshy on the palate, with its pear and melon fruit nicely balanced by peppery spice and a long, mouthwatering finish. It should drink well for at least a decade, although—like many white Hermitage wines—it may go through a closed period of several years.

The 2018 Hermitage Les Miaux Blanc displays vibrant scents of citrus, pear, melon and lightly grilled pineapple. This 100% Marsanne is medium to full-bodied, plump on the palate, then fresh and zesty on the lime-tinged finish. It should drink well for a decade or so.

The 100% Marsanne 2017 Hermitage Les Miaux Blanc boasts slinky aromas of pencil shavings, pear and melon. Medium to full-bodied, it's nevertheless bright and fresh on the palate, ending on harmonious and invigorating notes of citrus zest. It's delicious now, but it should be richer and more nuanced after 8-10 years in the cellar.

Matured entirely in demi-muids and sourced from Les Dionnières, the 2016 Hermitage Les Miaux Blanc features scents of toasted marshmallows, melon and orange zest. It's medium to full-bodied, with a plump, appealing mouthfeel, yet there's plenty of brine and zest on the finish to balance things out.

The two Hermitage releases include the 2015 Hermitage Les Miaux Blanc and it’s another wine where the quality has soared in recent vintages. Giving up classic notes of buttered citrus, sautéed orchard fruits, toasted hazelnuts and a kiss of crushed rocks, this medium to full-bodied white has a big mid-palate and loads of texture, yet is never heavy.
