Made with organic fruit, the Feudo Montoni 2020 Sicilia Inzolia Fornelli (with 24,000 bottles released) is a light and fragrant white, with citrus, stone fruit and flinty aromas that frame it all. The bouquet is bright and expressive with some reductive sharpness that always constitutes a very reasonable and successful approach to this versatile indigenous grape of Sicily. The wine's crisp and thin mouthfeel make it perfect for an insalata di mare with calamari ring and a few fried shrimp thrown in.

This is my first taste of an Inzolia-based wine from Fabio Sireci. The 2018 Sicilia Inzolia Fornelli (made with organic fruit) offers aromas of white flower and lemon blossom with white peach and honeydew melon at the back. There is a subtle touch of latex or natural rubber that gives the wine a beautiful sense of gloss and shine. The finish is laced with honey-like flavors.
