The 2009 Finca Millara has a more exuberant, luscious bouquet than the Lagariza with dark cherries and dark plum, and a faint ascetic note emanating with time. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, while the oak is neatly folded into the fruit. It is lacking a little bite toward the finish, but it is harmonious and very smooth. Drink now-2016.The origins of this bodega stem from 2000 when the distributor Fernando de Santiago in La Coruna began acquiring plots in A Millara and subsequently began reconstructing the terraces that overlook the River Mino. Their debut vintage was in 2007. Finca Millara own 20 hectares of vineyard on south-facing stone terraces on decomposed red slate, with a microclimate of warmer temperatures from the reflection of the nearby Os Peares reservoir.Importer: Classical Wines From Spain, Seattle, WA; Tel.
