The organic 2013 Tinto is produced with Garnacha and Syrah grapes in a 60/40 proportion, fermented in tanks and matured in French oak barrels for one year. There are some floral hints and a core of red and black cherries, with contained ripeness.The palate shows some dusty, chalky tannins. With time it develops some honeyed, pollen-like notes. 15,000 bottles.

The 2011 Tinto feels very ripe with aromas of prunes and dark cherries. It's a 60/40 blend of Garnacha and Syrah matured in barrique for one year. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grained tannins, ripe and quite silky. It is easy to drink and pleasurable. 15,000 bottles produced.

The red 2010 Finca Viladellops, a blend of 70% Garnacha and Syrah aged in oak barrels for 12 months, is quite oaky and minty, very balsamic with chalk aromas and a medium to full-bodied palate with round, chunky tannins. Slightly rustic, with a Mediterranean personality, it can be drunk now to 2017. Finca Viladellops was one of the surprises in the tasting of Penedes wines, a great discovery and a name to follow. The 2008 Tinto is a blend of 60% Garnacha and 40% Syrah. It has a slightly over-ripe, “mushy” bouquet with sloes and kirsch aromas.
