The 2014 Quater Vitis Rosso is an all-Sicilian blend of Frappato, Nero d'Avola, Perricone and Nerello Cappuccio. The grapes represent a panorama of island viticulture. The wine opens to a dark ruby-garnet color with bright fruit aromas and balanced acidity to follow. It is impossible to identify one single variety, and that is exactly the point. You do instead get Sicilian power, density and ripeness.
