The excellent 2001 Merlot RCF Vineyard reveals a saturated ruby/purple color as well as a sweet perfume of mocha intermixed with cherry cola and a hint of chocolate. Medium-bodied, with attractive fruit, and some chalky tannin to resolve, it is long, rich, and plump with excellent concentration. Drink it over the next 7-8 years. Tel.
