The 2021 Gewürztraminer is rich and textural, quite different from the 2019 vintage that I tasted. Here, garden mint, rose petals and finger lime parcels lead the charge, yet there is a biscuit and patisserie, fruit trifle character that weaves its way across the palate. The phenolics and acidity intertwine from the mid-palate onwards and bring about a powdery, aspirin character that laces the finish. The aftertaste is where the clear Gewürztraminer character embeds in the mouth, beckoning for another sip. Very smart, very detailed and rich.
