The 2008 Brut Vintage Reserva is a blend of Macabeo and Parellada with zero dosage. Mineral, brioche, and green apple compose the nose of this surprisingly elegant offering. While not especially lengthy or concentrated, it is still an excellent value for drinking over the next 12-18 months. Most American consumers are unlikely to see any Freixenet product aside from the ubiquitous Cordon Negro. However, Freixenet produces a full range of Cavas ranging from very good to excellent in their price to quality ratio.
