The G.D. Vajra 2022 Moscato d'Asti was born in a warm vintage and shows fragrant aromas of white peach, tropical fruit, candied lemon and a hint of sage or dried jasmine blossom. This informal dessert wine delivers soft foam and more sweet flavors over a creamy finish.

The G.D. Vajra 2020 Moscato d'Asti is luminous and bright with light foam and soft beading. There is honey and some candied orange at the back of fragrant apple and sweet honeydew melon. There is also a touch of sweet almond paste or nuttiness. The finish is sweet and soft. I found this vintage to be more robust than its predecessors. Production is 18,000 bottles.

Vajra 2019 Moscato d'Asti sees fruit sourced from the Vigneti di Moncucco in Santo Stefano Belbo and the Riforno vineyard in the nearby area of Mango. Both sites are at the historic heart of the Moscato d'Asti production zone. This pretty wine delivers a wide range of floral and tropical fruit aromas with fragrant peach and star jasmine. There are delicate background notes of crushed stone or oyster shell. The alcohol content clocks in a very mild 5.5%. Some 18,000 bottles were released earlier this year.
