The 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon is a restrained offering with a pleasant nose of cedar, spice box, incense, and black currant. Medium-bodied and savory on the palate, it has enough stuffing to drink well for another 6-7 years. Garrison Creek Cellars is an under the radar screen producer despite the fact that they own a 300-acre property with 265 planted. Everything has been estate-bottled since 2003 but only 1000 cases are produced. The wines I was shown are all excellent to outstanding, made in a restrained elegant style.www.garrisoncreekcellars.com
