Pencil shavings and passion fruit mark the nose of Giesen's 2014 The Fuder Dillons Point Sauvignon Blanc. As the name suggests, it's aged in large-format oak (1,000 liters). It's medium to full-bodied, enriched by the lees contact, showing ripe fruit notes of nectarine and pineapple-like citrus elements on the finish. While four years post-vintage would be a long time for most Marlborough Sauvignon Blancs, this one is hitting on all cylinders.
